I Know I Want to Lose Weight… I Just Don’t Know Where to Start

If you’ve ever thought, “I want to make a change, but I don’t even know where to start,” you are definitely not alone.

I’ve been a weight loss coach for over 20 years, and one of the most common struggles I see is women who are overwhelmed with information. They’re not lazy. They’re not unmotivated. They’re just stuck; like standing in the middle of a giant grocery store with a shopping list that’s a mile long… and no idea which aisle to go down first.

These women are smart. They’ve been following all the influencers. Downloading healthy recipes. Listening to the podcasts. Saving workouts. Reading nutrition tips. They know what to do, but still can’t get themselves to actually do it. It’s like having 14 open tabs in your brain, all saying something slightly different.

And after a while, it stops being helpful. It just feels like noise. Then the second-guessing starts. Should I do low carb or Mediterranean? Do I have to give up wine? Is walking enough? Should I fast?

And some of the most common delay tactics I hear are:

·       “Oh, I just need to get a new blender first.”

·       “Maybe I should buy a treadmill.”

·       “I really need to clean out my fridge first.”

·       “Let me join a gym, then I’ll be ready.”

We tell ourselves these things to feel like we’re preparing… but most of the time, we’re just putting off the real start.

That’s exactly why I created Coach G’s Weight Loss Chronicles. It’s a short, real-life video series based on the honest things women say to me in coaching sessions every single week. These are the patterns that keep women stuck and they’re rarely about food or fitness. They’re usually deeper. And more fixable than you think.

In Episode 5, I talk about the “I don’t know where to start” problem. It’s not a lack of discipline. It’s the stress of trying to choose the one perfect plan out of a million possible ones… so you pick none at all. This episode is for the woman who’s been doing all the research, but still feels like she hasn’t moved an inch.

If that sounds familiar, you might be stuck in what I call “productive procrastination.” You’re doing everything except the thing that would actually move you forward.

So, if Episode 5 feels like it was made for you, DM me the word “Success.” I’ll invite you to a Free 1:1 Breakthrough session. No pressure. Just a real conversation to help you get out of your head and into action.

You don’t need to do more research. You just need the right starting point.
